A memorandum of understanding was signed with China’s «CEEC ENERGY CHINA» company for the construction of solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 2000 MW in Qashqadaryo, Bukhara, and Samarqand Regions.

Under the agreement, the Chinese company will provide a total of $2 billion in direct investments.

The initial capacities of the solar photovoltaic stations are planned to be commissioned by the end of this year (fully in 2024).

As a result, 5.2 billion kWh of electricity will be produced annually.
