About the Council
The Department coordinates the attraction of foreign investments to the region, primarily direct investments, the implementation of a unified state investment policy in cooperation with international financial institutions (directors) and foreign state financial institutions, as well as foreign ones is a state body authorized to form and coordinate a unified state policy in trade and international economic cooperation.
The Kashkadarya Regional Department of Investments and Foreign Trade implements the following main strategic tasks and directions:
- implementation of a unified regional investment policy to coordinate the development and effective implementation of the regional development program and investment program, as well as sectoral and regional investment programs;
- Coordination of work to attract foreign investment, mutually beneficial cooperation with international economic and financial institutions, financial institutions of foreign governments in bilateral and multilateral formats;
- Coordination of the activities of state bodies and organizations, permanent representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international and foreign financial and economic institutions, as well as employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, carrying out foreign economic activity in foreign countries;
- Participate in the preparation, approval and signing of international agreements on investment cooperation in the Kashkadarya region;
- Ensuring constant interaction with investors, supporting regions and local companies in attracting investments, organizing the development of investment proposals;
- implements a unified state policy in the field of foreign trade, ensures the effective functioning of national export support systems, coordinates the activities of state bodies and organizations in the field of foreign trade regulation;
- coordination of measures related to the application of measures of tariff and non-tariff regulation in trade, as well as the improvement of electronic commerce;
- Expansion and strengthening of trade cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, support for the export of goods, works and services;
- Coordination of the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization and cooperation with other multilateral economic organizations;
- coordinating the regulation of wholesale and exchange trade, analyzing and monitoring market conditions, conducting marketing research and analyzing data on commodity prices;
- Promoting the development of foreign trade infrastructure, including increasing the level of transit capacities, further improving logistics and transport corridors, and diversifying export routes.
